A3. Mars #s & Dome Tribes

This appendix summarizes the standardized identification schemes for humans and humanoid droids on Mars, and the light-ceremonial “Dome” affiliation used for culture and cohesion. Tone is descriptive/neutral for Codex inclusion.

Mars Human Number (MNH)

Purpose: A permanent, sequential identifier awarded to each human at their first physical contact with Mars.

Format: MNH-000001 (zero-padded decimal; field width expands as needed).

Optional: trailing base-36 checksum (e.g., MNH-012345-R) for transcription control.

Assignment moment:

Arrivals: first body crossing a Mars pressure boundary (airlock/transfer umbilical) → first touch.

Mars-born: assigned at live birth.

Order of assignment:

Same-ship arrivals numbered by egress order recorded by airlock sensor timecodes.

Multiple births ordered by time of complete emergence; ties resolved by attending clinician’s recorded order.

Re-entries: no new number; the first assignment persists for life.

Public record (Arean Registry): number, full legal/public name, timestamp (Mars Sol Date + UTC), place of first touch/ward, vessel/clinic, witness device ID, issuing official.

Sealed fields: medical parentage, sensitive notes, dispute artifacts.

Disputes & errors: adjudicated by a small Numbering Board; outcomes logged.

Mars Humanoid Droid Number (MND)

Purpose: A permanent, sequential identifier for qualifying humanoid droids.

Eligibility: Humanoid, ≥160 cm height, ≥1.25 human-equivalent IQ/EQ (per standardized Mars battery).

Format: MND-0x0001A3 (uppercase hexadecimal, 0x required).

Optional: trailing base-36 checksum (e.g., MND-0x01A3-K).

Assignment moment: first surface activation while meeting the eligibility threshold.

If upgraded later to meet the threshold, number is assigned on the upgrade-meets-surface date.

Forks/clones: each independently embodied, eligible fork receives a new MND; registry notes lineage (“fork of 0x00F2”).

Decommission/reactivation: number persists; status toggles active/retired in registry.

Public record: number, public handle, timestamp (MSD + UTC), place of activation, certifying official; test artifacts sealed.

Governance & Infrastructure (shared)

Registrar: Arean Registry (under Port Harmonia MCC), replicated read-only across hubs.

Audit trail: hardware timecodes from pressure/activation sensors + signed officer entries.

Privacy: minors’ names can be privacy-flagged (e.g., “Infant MNH-045672”) until guardian consent.

Elemental Dome Affiliation (Air · Water · Fire · Earth)

Purpose: A semi-formal, opt-in cultural layer for identity, ceremonies, mentoring, festivals, drills, and friendly rivalry. Not linked to employment, postings, or rights.

Who belongs:

Humans: all residents assigned a Dome.

Humanoid droids: qualifying units (as per MND eligibility) are also assigned.

When assigned:

Arrivals: during the first-touch welcome ceremony.

Mars-born: on the 4000-sol milestone (~11.2 Earth years).

Droids: at first qualifying surface activation.

How assigned (light “sorting”):

Conducted by PortHarmonia.ai (or a local registrar AI).

The AI asks preference, applies gentle size balancing (keep Domes roughly equal Mars-wide), and announces a one-line rationale with the assignment.

A single elective transfer is available later (humans ages 18–30; droids after 2,000 active hours), via brief ceremony.

Public display: Dome name/mark shown on badges and civic UIs alongside MNH/MND; no effect on hiring, grading, or access.

The Four Elemental Tribe Domes (names, symbols, colors)

Air Dome — classical symbol: ☁ / swirling lines; colors: sky/white (light blue, silver, white).

Water Dome — classical symbol: wave; colors: deep blue/teal (navy, teal, sea-blue).

Fire Dome — classical symbol: flame; colors: ember red/orange (scarlet, vermilion, amber).

Wood Dome — classical symbol: mountain/stone; colors: ochre/green/brown (olive, umber, basalt).

Note: Visual implementations typically favor muted, Mars-toned variants of the classical palette (e.g., oxide reds, aquifer teals, basalt greens) for habitat legibility.

Quick Reference (bullet summary)

Humans (MNH): decimal, sequential; assigned at first touch (arrivals) or live birth (Mars-born); egress order determines sequence; persists for life.

Humanoid droids (MND): hexadecimal, sequential; eligibility = humanoid ≥160 cm + ≥1.25 IQ/EQ; assigned at first qualifying surface activation; forks get new IDs.

Registry: Arean Registry under Port Harmonia MCC; public core fields, sealed sensitive data; formal dispute resolution.

Domes (Air/Water/Fire/Wood): cultural affiliation; assigned by PH.ai at arrival (or 4000 sols for Mars-born; at activation for eligible droids); preference asked, sizes balanced; one elective transfer allowed; no employment linkage.

Visuals: IDs appear as H# / D# plus Dome name/mark; Dome symbols/colors follow classical elemental norms, rendered in Mars-appropriate tones.

This standardized trio—MNH, MND, and Elemental Domes—provides durable identity, inclusive ceremony, and lightweight social structure without creating functional silos.
